What could the name “G13” possibly mean? Were they playing bingo at the grow facility that night? Is this some kind of governmental, uncreative label for a mysterious cultivar? Or will you say “Gee!” at least thirteen times when you’re high on these buds? Believe it or not, it’s actually the second option that is mostly true!

G13 was created as part of a research project in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Otherwise known as “Government Indica Strain #1” has unknown parentage, but we are sure it comes from an Afghani variant. G13 was designed to be an effective medical marijuana strain, and it certainly is.  With 24% THC contents on average, this indica-dominant hybrid packs a punch if you’re looking to medicate pain, swelling, stiffness or sickness.

    Got mine a few days ago, first time for this one. The thing I like about this stuff for me. Starts outs as a very mellow enjoyable buzz. Doesn’t seem to be too strong. But what you don’t know is it just keeps getting better and better. Eventually to the point where its lights out…!! Twice now I have had thoughts of getting up to bed only to wake up in my chair and its now morning…Very deep restful sleep for me…Definitely a creeper for sure…Great weed for the price….

G13 is a cross between unknown Afghani and a mystery parent strain, giving this indica-dominant hybrid an air of mystique that has definitely leant to its popularity among modern stoners.
